We feel that working together with people from different countries already is a big exchange between culture, yet only related to a work environment.

We therefore want to organize an hour to also cover other cultural and daily-life aspects and suggest following items to have some coming together aside your work in the summer school.

BioArt summer school playlist

We thought that it would be nice to have a playlist for the BioArt summer school. Please send us up to three titles to [bioart.summerschool@iiss.at] including a small text why this song is important for this summer school.

The challenge is to find a song that is related to the summer school and has some special meaning for you. We are looking forward to your song!

BioArt space cooking

Food is another important part of our culture and we will see how it differs between the countries and participants.

More information will follow at the session

Please do the following three things

  • We start with a simple word for a dish and each group should create a small presentation what this dish means to the nations of each group member and what is special about your national speciality of this dish.
  • Try to find on attitude or characteristic of your culture starting with each letter of the dish.
  • Additionally, select one national dish that would be perfect to cook and eat on a space craft. Give some reasoning about your thoughts.

After a discussion phase (20 minutes) in the group and online creation of some slides, you will present your/your groups point of view to the others (max. 5 slides, 5 minutes per group).

We will put all slides online at this page to should the diversity between the participants!
