Responsible

Tom Trigano (SCE)

Room/Location

  • Room with Wifi access
  • One large table
  • One projector and required connecting cables

Overview

The idea would be to make the work presentation as fun as possible, and possibly to demonstrate it if there is a working code to run on computer. The format in mind would be a ten-minutes presentation (TED-talk style), split in two parts:

  • The first part would be a five-minute of presentation of the campus by the student itself, as a Youtube short movie: how does he see the campus he studied in, how does he feel, what are the people he interacted with during his former work, his advisor's testimony. The material can afterwards be used for publicizing the project on the website.
  • The second-part would be a five-minute Powerpoint/Beamer presentation in 3-4 slides, and if possible an demonstration on the student's laptop.

-- optional - to be discussed -- Organize a round table on the theme: "make it, then make it better": distribute randomly the projects to other students of the same team, and ask him to improve it / suggest improvement ideas in a couple of hours.
